Summer Lovin' – Sydney Style.

Before you know it, Summer will be over and all you will have to show for those sunbaked and sweat-drenched days will be an inhumane number of binged tv shows.

But we're here to make sure that doesn't happen. We're compiled a list of Sydney's hottest events set for your squad hangs, date spots and Insta-worthy photo ops. 😉

1. Floating Cinema Experience

Sydney Harbour | Summer

Your average outdoor cinema just got one hell of an upgrade. Relax on the top of a boat's desk with Sydney's gorgeous scenery as your backdrop. Snuggle in and watch a curated list of classic films (including a couple of your fave Christmas movies!) To make it a night to remember, you'll also embark on cruise around Sydney's iconic harbour prior to the screening, food and drinks at the ready. Now that's what I'm talking a-boat! 😉

2. 80s Themed, Immersive Cocktail Escape Room.

Above The Wanderer pub, Surry Hills | Select dates between 3 November – 24 February

Rally all sci-fi enthusiasts and Stranger Things fanatics (or just those wanting a Christmas party a little bit out of the box). The Lock In is a pop-up immersive theatre experience that combines 80s nostalgia with experimental cocktails.

This escape room will transport you to small-town Indiana where they need your help, urgently. There's something creepy happening at their top-secret government facility – and now a kid's missing. That's where you and your team come in. Use your detective skills and science lab expertise to solve the mystery. All the while, 80s hits will be blasting and food and booze will be served.

3. DIY Boozy Popsicles

Time to let that inner DIY food blogger guru shine. Even if your cooking repertoire solely consists of toast and instant noodles, we promise that these recipes are easy peasy. All you gotta do is mix your liquids of choice and pour them into icypole moulds to freeze. Here are some of our top picks: basil mint citrus mojito popsicles, Moscato strawberry popsicles and tropical tequila sunrise popsicles. You'll be the most popular kid on the block.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Now what’s summer without a groove and a jive? The annual Twilight at Taronga Zoo has you covered my friend. There are some rocking acts this year, including Vera Blue, You Am I, Magic Dirt and Xavier Rudd.

Pack a rug and a picnic and settle in among the leafy grounds of Taronga Zoo, you might even hear a lion's roar, a chimpanzee's chatter or an elephant's trumpet. This open-air concert is like no other.
