Bawa chicka wow wow. That's our first impression of Bawa Cafe. And also that it's like a jungle oasis. It's fitting that the cafe is named after Geoffrey Bawa – a Sri Lankan architect who was behind the design style 'tropical modernism'. The open and leafy interior of Bawa creates a zen escape from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Pair that with the jungle prints lining the walls and the light filtering through the large windows – it'll transport you straight into another world. Bawa Cafe is from the team behind Tall Timber and Friends of Mine, so you know the food will be top notch.
You should try... the Salmon Gravlax. It has poached eggs, smashed peas, beetroot relish, marinated feta, croutons with a dill and caper dressing.
