Reigning burger innovators, Ume Burger, have been cookin' up a food pop-up concept for a while now: Ume Dogs. Ume Dogs made its first apperance at Melbourne's HWKR food hall last month to much acclaim, and now its time for its Sydney test run.
Ume Burger owner, Kerby Craig, together with cool coffee kids on the block, Edition Coffee Roasters, will give Sydneysiders an exclusive one-night-only Ume Dogs taste on Friday, September 28. The pop-up will see the Ume Burger team take over the Edition Coffee Roasters' Haymarket store for one exclusive night, flanked by Edition, and a special guest (dessert) apperance.
From deliciously wood-smoked pork frankfurts that includes a spin on their classic Ume burg' (slathered in wagyu mince sauce, kewpie mayo, minced onion, and cheese), and the Kansai (pickled wakame, kewpie, tonkatsu sauce, snow crackers, and bonito flakes).
Or save your bites for some kimchi dogs topped with noodles for some crunch, or curry dogs flavoured with red pickles. All paired with some boozy drinks on tap. Grab your friends, so you can share a few of these very limited (and, very, tasty) dogs.
Beats to set the mood for your feastin' and socialisin' will be supplied by DJ Andrew Levins. While Edition's resident crew will also be serving up their signature cups of coffee; including accompanying speciality snacks.
Premium gelato makers, RivaReno Gelato, are also making a special appearance the night of the pop-up; rounding up the savoury dogs experience serving affogato. They'll be teaming up with Edition Coffee Roasters for the coffee portion of the Italian dessert.
